: Try not to use other people's characters — even open clades such as the Ode clade — without asking. While many will say yes, this will have the added benefit of you being able to write more closely to the author's vision, as they will often have paracanon to share. Additionally, in some cases, these characters feature in the noemata of several individuals' headmates or personalities, and it's worth avoiding trampling on identities! : Try not to use other people's characters — even open clades such as the Ode clade — without asking.
